Senior Director - Intermediaries

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Executive Director, Intermediaries, the key responsibilities of the Senior Director are

  • To manage the Intermediaries Supervision Department in accordance with the objectives of the Commission;
  • To develop and implement regulatory policies and procedures for the effective supervision of intermediaries with particular focus on their conduct and financials;
  • To maintain and enhance effective communication within the SFC as well as with the key external stakeholders such as market practitioners and domestic/overseas regulators; and
  • To plan and develop people and other resources for the Intermediaries Supervision Department.


Requirements:

  • University education with professional qualification in law, accounting or finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of the operation and regulation of the securities and futures markets.
  • A minimum of 15 years of senior executive experience in relevant sector including extensive experience in regulating intermediaries with a regulatory body.
  • Strong resources management and planning skills, particularly as a team leader.
  • Results-oriented with excellent conceptual, analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua an advantage.
